About the Fair

This two day event, the Detling Showground fair, has up to 300-400 indoor and outdoor stalls  (weather permitting) and is Kent's largest antiques and vintage fair. Free parking. Dogs welcome on a lead. Postcode for sat nav: ME14 3JF

Tickets and Entry

The fair entry times are as follows:

• Saturday: Entry 8:30am to 4.30pm (last entry 4.00pm)

• Sunday: Entry 10:00am to 3:30pm (last entry 3.00pm)

Entry fee payment: due to logistical limitations, cash only is accepted at the gate on the days of the fair (no advanced ticket sales available for this event). We are working to introduce a card payments option as soon as possible.

More Information

Tea, coffee and food are available to purchase on site from a number of catering vans. A new exit lane has been introduced on BOTH the Saturday and the Sunday to speed up your exit when leaving the event. There is a dedicated disabled parking area - please bring your Blue Badge, and let the parking team know when you arrive.

There will be NO ATMs on site for this event. Although many sellers do take card payments, many do not, so please bring enough cash for your requirements. There is also a cashpoint in the Shell Petrol station on Detling Hill (0.5 miles away - 1 minute by car).

Travelling by Car

The Kent Event County Showground is located on the A249, which is a dual carriageway. From the M20 Motorway, exit the motorway at Junction 7 and follow signs to Sittingbourne and Sheerness A249. The Kent Showground is clearly marked and is approximately 2 miles from the junction.

 

From the M2 Motorway, exit the motorway at Junction 5 signposted Maidstone A249. The Kent Showground is approximately 5 miles.

 

Plentiful free parking is available onsite.

By Bus

Whilst there is a limited bus service from Maidstone the bus stop is half an hour walk from the showground. We therefore advise you to get a taxi or come by car.

 

By Rail

The nearest train station is Maidstone East.

Ashford International is a 20 minute drive (20 miles).

The Channel Tunnel is within a 40 minute drive (35 miles).

 

By Air

Collecting items from sellers

If you choose to leave an item you have purchased with a seller to collect at a later time, please make sure that you make a note of where that seller is located and confirm what is the latest time you can collect the item, in case the seller has to leave. Any items left with a seller are done so entirely at the buyers risk and Love Fairs will not be responsible for any losses incurred.
